Trains

Even before he developed his lifelong passion for steam cars, Tom Marshall loved trains and received his first electric train set, an early Lionel model, for Christmas in 1927. He has been hooked ever since. With his father, T. Clarence Marshall, Tom helped build the Auburn Valley Railroad in the 1950s and 1960s, and it still circles the estate today, captivating young and old alike. In addition,  the Marshall Steam Museum displays several early steam locomotives, as well as young Tommy’s first Lionel trains, which delight our youngest visitors.
