Get in on the fall fun and build a scarecrow… if you dare!
This colorful and exciting fall event is designed to bring enjoyment to the whole community. Local businesses, organizations, families and individuals are all invited to show off their scarecrow-making talents and decorate the Yorklyn Bridge Trail with cool and wacky scarecrows. When it comes to your ‘crow, the only limit is your imagination!
Cost to Participate: $10 per ‘crow reservation, which includes (if requested) one cross-bar scarecrow frame (approx. 7′ x 3’) on which to mount your ‘crow and a trail sign to ID your scary, silly or serious creation!
Where the ‘Crows Will Be Displayed: Those who sign up will be emailed the week of October 18 with the number of the location along the Yorklyn Bridge Trail (shown in hot pink on the map above) where their sign will be placed and their scarecrow frame will be awaiting their ‘crow’s arrival.
When the Scarecrows Appear: Participants may mount their scarecrows on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, October 22-24, from 9 am to 5 pm. The ‘crows will remain on display through Halloween (Sunday, October 31). Those who wish to reclaim their creations must do so on Monday, November 1, or Tuesday, November 2, after which the ‘crows will be sent to roost (recycled or disposed of responsibly).
How to Sign Up: Registration is now open and will close October 15 at 5pm! The entry fee is due at the time of registration, and you can register online below or by completing the Scarecrow Registration Form and mailing it with your check (payable to Friends of Auburn Heights) or credit card info to:
